Secret To Get Good At Anything

In this world where everyone is expecting instant results, instant gratification, instant everything, people lose track in what it REALLY takes to get good at anything.

I remember in high school in gym class, people who would do anything possible to get out of doing certain activities. When I pulled them to the side to talk to them about it, and I asked “why did you try so hard to get out of it?” Just to get a reply “I’m not that great at it, so I don’t want to do it”
 
I always learned that wither you go all in at something, or (pardon my french) half-ass something, you are usually still doing the activity for the same amount of time, no matter the effort level put in.

But here’s the difference, little or no effort ( giving up or making excuses not to do it), do you think you will ever get better? Ever get more confident?

People seem to think just because they aren’t good at something NOW, that they just are destined to not be ever. That conditioning is SOO FAR from the TRUTH.

Michael Jordan was always shafted in school from basketball, students and coaches laughed at him for even trying.

But every day, there he is, shooting hoops, practicing, KNOWING he sucked, but knowing HE COULD CHANGE IT. It all starts with a believe then the consistency in moving forward, pushing through until you get good.
